How to train a dog to fetch and any reputable breeders in Pennsylvania for golden retrievers?
I want my dog to learn fetch but i want to train it and i don’t know how. please tell me a method. don’t just tell me a video on youtube or something bogus. PLEASE BE SPECIFIC IN DIRECTIONS!
Anyone know a reputable golden retriever breeder in PA, that breeds as a hobby and takes much care in breeding the dog for improvement and fine quality retrievers?I want them who care for the dog not to just make a quick buck buy throwing dogs together. Possibly, anyone who has a great golden retriever knows a good reputable breeder possible close to the king of prussia area? I also want excellent temperment and maybe dogs that are from champion bloodlines

You really don’t need to teach a golden retreiver to fetch. They’re born ready, willing and able to play.
Chances are, the pup will teach you!

But, in case you have a mutant Golden, here goes:
Show the puppy the ball. “Tease” him/her with it. You want the pup grabbing at the ball in your hand.
Toss the ball a short distance away and praise the dog for chasing it.
When the pup grabs the ball, go crazy. Call his/her name in a high pitched voice, pat your legs, and jump up and down. Tell him/her what a good puppy it is and keep coaxing it to bring you the ball.
If the pup drops the ball, stop all praise. Go get it and try again.
Keep lessons short while the pup is learning. 1-2 tosses then quit.
Chances are though, your golden will fetch until your arm falls off. Really, there’s very little in this world that goldens love doing more than playing fetch.
