A quick check of the internet can give you a list of dog sites that rescue certain kinds of dogs/cats, etc. As with any pure breed, they can get pretty pricey.
There are plenty of dogs for less than $100 in your local dog shelter. I got my chihuahua and beagle there (both pure breeds) for less than $75.00 each, and paid only $25.00 more for “fixing” them and getting the implant in case they get lost or stolen.
