My 8 month old Golden Retriever puppy has a growth or tumor on her back. What could this be?
It is raised and red and firm, and about the size of a dime but thicker, maybe 1/4″ thick. I discovered it when I was petting her back and spread her fur apart to see what it was. My vet. said they could check her out on Monday, but until then, does anyone know what this could mean? I am very worried.
My dog had the same thing on her head , I thought it was a wart but it kept growing , even the vet said a wart when it was smaller , it got about 1/2″ tall & dime size . It turned out to be a surface mount tumor , the vet removed it and she was fine. It didn’t bother her at all but mybe long term it may have .
